Diagnosis – this word can be used as either a verb or a noun, both a process for getting to an end point; or the end point itself. This is a critical part of our coaching practice and its need to be collaborative.
We often get asked why we use ‘diagnostic tools’. In all cases we deem before a solution/action is recommended we need to understand what is happening and what is causing the situation. Just as a doctor would spend time on understanding symptoms and spend time on diagnosis before prescribing solutions, we believe a true grasp of the root cause of the problem is the foundation of any solution we may provide. On a side and fun note, we thought you’d like to note that our grey hair helps a bit in that process ?
